H2O this weekend: Saturday AND Sunday!

Hi everyone!

Happy Chinese New Year!! Hope everyone's been doing well. This weekend we've got a few activities that we're participating in, although none of them are really related to Chinese New Year... I hope everyone can join us! Please read on...

Let's start with this coming Saturday (9th of February): we're having our first Gym Night of 2008! That's right, get those muscles going and join us, as well as the YF and Pure Energy groups (CCCO's High School & Junior High Fellowships) for some good working out time. Here are the details:

Time: 7:30 - 10:30 pm, evening
Place: University of Ottawa, Montpetit Hall Basement, 125 University Ave., Ottawa ON K1N 6N5
Map: Ottawa U Campus Map - Montpetit Hall is right in the middle of the map!
Activities: One volleyball court, one badminton court and an open Basketball basket at the end.

Note:
1. The Gym is reserved under the name Bing Cheung (Fred).
2. Non-marking running shoes please.
3. Bring a lock, there are lockers in the changing room to store your belongings.
4. There is a cost to park on school campus, but free street parking is available East of King Edwards Street.
5. If you're taking the bus, taking any Transitway route (95,96,97) and get off at Campus Station. Refer to the map for short walking direction once you get there.
You can also use the OC Transpo Travel Planner to help you with your journey.
6. No swimming available this time.

For Sunday (10th of February), you're encouraged to join us for Sunday School (118 Empress - second floor, house next to the church) @ 9:30am and Worship Service (English Sanctuary, church's basement) @ 11am. After the service, the girls are invited to join the rest of the Ladies Fellowship for their Valentine Activity starting at 1pm, and the boys will be having lunch together in the meantime. At 2pm, the whole group will meet together in Room 301 as Salina Yan will be sharing with us about the 'BIG BROTHER BIG SISTER' night for the AWANA program the week after. It's a chance for our group to help out the little ones in the church, and Salina will share with us exactly how we can do that. Right after that we will continue to chat about our focus of building our fellowship together, specifically sharing our thoughts about 'being a community'. We hope you will bring a heart to share what's on your mind, as freely as we can. Please also bring along your Bible!

One other announcement: for those who were here last Sunday, Fred shared about gathering a group going for the Mission Fest in Toronto in March. If any of you are still interested, please let Fred know by next Sunday (Feb.17th). This is a good opportunity for those who are interested in the mission field, or just wanted to hear more about it. Take a look at this promotional video for the event, and also the handout Fred provided last week.

Thanks for reading... hope to see you all this weekend!!
