You have yet another wonderful opportunity this Friday to come spend good chunk of time with each other and ……*drumroll* …. the LORD!
Yes siree…this Friday evening we are holding SPF, and, weather-permitting, we will be outside. If you’ve not come before, this is a time to sing, pray, and fellowship with one another just as fellow Christians have been doing for centuries.
We are meeting at CCCO, 7:30pm, and heading out to an outdoorsy place (TBD), transportation provided. Afterwards, we’ll be hanging out some more and perhaps doing some planning for the upcoming retreat (Aug. 25-27). Those of you who need to get back to church before going home (eg. to meet up with parents, siblings..) that can be arranged too.
If it’s raining, that’s OK too…we will remain in CCCO and still praise God, because He is in control over ALL! The next time you hear thunder rolling, think of this Psalm (29: 2-4):
Ascribe to the LORD the glory due his name;
worship the LORD in the splendor of his holiness.
The voice of the LORD is over the waters;
the God of glory thunders,
the LORD thunders over the mighty waters.
The voice of the LORD is powerful;
the voice of the LORD is majestic.

One more thing…Joyce & Dan Teo’s parents, the missionaries in Lebanon mentioned last week, are on board a ship and coming HOME!!!!!!!! They should be at Cyprus by now. Thank you GOD…and we continue to pray for the Lebanese/Isreali Christians who remain…
