It's onto Chapter 7 with Life Wide Open! (Chapter 6 is more of a personal reflection, so we'll glide over it). Before launching into specific barriers and obstacles that keep us from leading the purposeful life God has in store for us, we will end off Part 1 with some discussion on ideas such as OBLIGATION --are we created in such a way that we HAVE to live passionately? Otherwise we'll never be satisfied? (Does living passionately = satisfaction?) Or is it something we can easily ignore...
Can you think of some passionate people? Either in your life or in the Bible (which is chock full of inspiring examples!)... What drives Jeremiah (see the book of Jeremiah in the Bible!) to keep warning his morally deaf neighbours?
Passion isn't about a comfortable life or big results; it's about following through with your conviction regardless of the cost.
Where do you stand with passion? Is your fire roaring & soaring? Or boring & deploring?
