Recap from last week......

We don't normally do this, but since some pretty important information was discussed last week, we thought it would be good to do a bit of a recap here for anyone interested.

Last Saturday was h2o's first gathering of 2008, and we kicked off the year with a SPPF - Sharing, Prayer, & Praise Fellowship - where we played games ("Wanna hear a story?"), shared with each other ("The most expensive thing I bought last year? Hmmm....."), and sung praises to Jesus. h2o leaders also got to share about our vision for the coming year, and we as a fellowship had some time to pray over h2o.

Our theme passage for this coming year comes from Acts 2:42-43:

"They devoted themselves to the apostles' teaching and
to the fellowship, to the breaking of bread and to prayer.
Everyone was filled with awe, and many wonders and
miraculous signs were done by the apostles."

(click here to read the verses in context!)

Through our discussions within the leadership team, the description of the early church in the verses above has become our hope and prayer for h2o -- that this year will be one where we "get back to basics"..... where we can re-discover (or discover for the first time!) what it means to be a fellowship; to pray and study God's Word and break bread (share meals!) together; to truly care for and be devoted to each other. We believe that as we commit ourselves to God and to each other, God will in turn bless h2o! Take some time to meditate and pray over the theme passage.... let's ask God to show us what it really means to be a fellowship.

We hope that you will join us on this journey as we seek intimacy with God and with each other.

Here's to 2008! :)
