SPF this Friday + Iron Chef details

Hey H2O,

Once again, we meet at the end of the month for another time of Sharing, Prayer & Fellowship. Please take this oppportunity to experience and share God's love with one another. We will be meeting at church, location is most likely in room 301. Look for us!

Also, the second annual
CCCO ENGLISH CONGREGATION COOK-OFF (Iron Chef) is coming! Hope you guys are all ready to participate again.... last year we had a great turn-out, and a great team-effort produced a winning table! Here's what you need to know:
  • This year, the cook-off theme is "It's Showtime!".... we must choose a (family-appropriate.... so no sopranos's or desperate housewives...) TV show, off of which our team costumes/uniforms, menu, and 5-10min. skit will be based. So please please please let us know if you have ideas for a TV show! Ideally it would be one with lots of roles, so that everyone on the team can be involved. E-mail us with your suggestions! The sooner we decide the better, as show themes are taken on a first-come-first-serve basis. **NOTE: CSI has already been taken.**
  • We need a team of at least 10 people. If you are interested, please reply to this e-mail as soon as possible, and we will keep you updated on all the exciting details!
We would love for you to get involved - the more the merrier! There is lots to do.... cooking, food presentation, decorating the table, planning the skit, and (new this year.... so we don't know what this is really about....) an "Amazing Race". Also new this year, a secret ingredient will be introduced to make things more challenging! Please join us! For now, we need two things from you:
  1. If you want to be on the team, send us an e-mail ASAP
  2. E-mail us with any ideas for a TV show theme, along with any ideas for costumes and food and skits to go with your TV show!
For planning purposes, we need to know who's on the team and finalize the theme by Friday, November 3rd, so please make sure to have your replies in by then.

For those still in a heat of midterms, all the best! Study hard, and hopefully you can spare some time for fellowship this Friday. Have a great week!
