Open WIDE!

Hello ladies & gents!

As was mentioned last Friday, we will be moving on quickly to the end of Part 1 (of 3) in Life Wide Open. This week, those of us with the books are encouraged (strongly!) to read chapter 5 and chapter 6, as the focus of our discussion will be on these two streams of thought. That's about 20 pages worth of text (large font, generous margins) so it shouldn't be too painful! Maybe a little more painful if sharing among 2(+) people...! But, well worth it.

Also read chapter 7 if you want a good wrap-up to Part 1 and an idea of where we're headed next! And crack open your Bibles to take a look at Titus 2 -- the whole chapter if you want, though the focus will be on verses 11-14.

Ok, enough of handing out assignments. :)
Basically, the ideas we will be tackling are:

Chapter 5 - Most of us probably want to live a more-than-mundane life. Or are you satisfied with being the typical sitcom character? Where does real passion come from? Do you have it? If not, do you want it?

Chapter 6 - You make choices and compare options all the time, sometimes without knowing it. Every decision comes with an opportunity cost. How do you know your decisions are "the best" ones --for you, for your family or friends? Can you know? Or is it something we should avoid and "leave to fate"? What is the cost of real passion? Is it worth it??

Same h2o time (7:30pm, Friday)
Same h2o place (CCCO, 116 Empress)

Come one, come all!
