Book Study: Life Wide Open

"Every man dies; not every man really lives!" --William Wallace, Braveheart

How many of you are eager to leap out of bed every morning, filled with laser-intense purpose, exhilarated about the prospect of another 24 hours on earth?

I thought so.

How come? According to the Bible, "The LORD has done great things for us, and we are filled with joy." (Psalm 126:3) Are we? ...it also asks God to "Satisfy us in the morning with your unfailing love, that we may sing for joy and be glad all our days." (Psalm 90:14).

So knowing that God has done His part, why is it often such a drag for us to get up in the morning and "face the world"? Do you know some people who DO look forward to each new day we're alive? What motivates them? Is it possible for "normal" people to love life that much??

If you're curious about these questions (or if you have the answers!), come out to H2O on our book/Bible nights (every other friday) as we look into what it means to live a life of real FREEDOM. We'll be using David Jeremiah's book Life Wide Open to help us along.

This week, Friday 7:30 @ CCCO , we'll depend on photocopies of the first chapter or so, but you may wish to purchase your own in the future. The cost is around $10-$12, depending on if we get a group discount!

If you're wondering about the book and what it has to say about living a passionate, purposeful life, take a look at some reviews, or better yet, read an excerpt. Comes with full recommendations from our very own Steph (& her mom). :)

Click on the following to read a review or an excerpt from the book.

Looking forward to seeing you there....
