alright boys and girls, time to get serious... serious about cooking that is! (sorry for being cheezy... mmm cheese) this weekend is our ironchef/cookoff event, with friday being our preparation/shoebox night and saturday the main event!
on friday evening (nov.11th) we'll be gathering at church to help sort out all the christmas shoeboxes that everyone have so kindly put together, and also to discuss what our fellowship team is doing for the cookoff the day after... this includes the menu, decoration, a presentation (which is mandatory for all teams) and wardrobe (what you ask!? come on friday and find out!). ideas for our menu have began to shape, but we still welcome your suggestions at this point, so don't hesitate to shout out your ideas (comment here or via email @ h2ofellowship@gmail.com). ideas such as seafood chowder, ricerolls, grill chicken (marinated with maple syrup!), baked salmon, cheesecake, crepes were brought out so far, and if you want to add something else along that list please do so!
on saturday afternoon (nov.12th) all teams will gather in the ccco basement to begin the cookoff. we'll divide team members to help out in different areas (cooking, decorating, presentation) so we can be as efficient as possible. after our cooking time we'll present our food and whatever else we're doing (skit!? song!? ppt!?) then we'll get to enjoy our (and others) creations! it's all about teamwork everyone... put your game faces on!
